Company Overview

Our instructors have combined training experience of over 100 years. During that time they have trained in a variety of styles under a variety of instructors. That variety is incorporated into our classes to ensure that students are exposed to a number of aspects of the martial arts.

Description

The Combat Arts Dojo trains in Zen Do Kai, a martial arts system which has evolved from adding the principles and the techniques of many martial arts disciplines. Put together it forms a modern, effective and comprehensive self-defence system.

Our classes follow the guidelines of a well structured syllabus and provide a great deal of variety and an excellent physical workout. Students are able to work and advance at their own pace and are always encouraged to strive to achieve their personal best.

General Information

Combat Arts was originally based at Christchurch Polytechnic running both Zen Do Kai and Muay Thai Kickboxing classes for adult students.
After moving to Auckland the founders re-opened the club in 2011 initially for primary school aged children to help them achieve the self-confidence and self-discipline that training in martial arts provides. Senior classes for adults commenced in 2012 and currently include both Zen Do Kai and Muay Thai classes.
