FIREARMS TRAINING 
The basic Firearms Training course runs for 2 days, which is the minimum requirement if you wish to carry a revolver whilst working in the Security Industry. (If you wish to carry a semi automatic weapon you will be required to complete an extra day).
The course is broken into two main area’s – theory and practical.
Day 1 of the course is the theory component. On this day we will look at the law in relation to the carriage and use of firearms within the security industry, survival stress research but most importantly when you can and cannot use a firearm. At the end of Day 1 you will be required to sit an examination, which you must pass before attending the practical day.
Day 2 of the course is the start of the practical component. Here we will look at the different types of revolvers available and get feel for the different types of mechanisms encountered. We will practice drawing and holstering the firearm in a variety of situations including shoot / no-shoot decisions. Most importantly we will practice safe weapons handling during a range shoot in which you will fire approximately 100 rounds of live ammunition.
Day 3 of the course is for those students who may also wish or be required to carry semi automatic handguns during the course of their duty. This is a basically a repeat of Day 2 with the exception of being exposed to a variety of different semi automatic handguns and their operational use. Firearms that you will exposed to include Smith & Wesson, Ruger and Glock.
On successful completion of the course you will be issued with an accreditation slip which is required to obtain a NSW Security Firearms License from the NSW Police.

To ensure this instructors are members of a variety of different associations including S.I.F.A (Security Industry Firearms Association), ASLET (American Society for Law Enforcement Training), ILEFI (International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors) and ICAPS (International Association for Counter terrorism and Security Professionals).
In addition to those organizations our instructors utilize the latest techniques as used at the factories of the worlds leading firearms manufactures including Smith & Wesson and Heckler & Koch.
